Partnering with HEFC to grow fresh food for clients

Over our history HEFC has been fortunate to receive fresh grown vegetables from various community gardens. This locally grown food supplements the regular emergency provisions clients receive.

Community gardens at local churches including Holy Cross Catholic Church, Riverside United Church, St Thomas the Apostles Church, St Timothy’s Church have all provided fresh produce over the past. We are looking to continue those partnerships and develop more relationships with community gardens in south-east Ottawa.
