HEFC provides emergency food services to households in Alta Vista, Heron Park, Playfair Park, Riverside Park, and Hunt Club East.

Food is provided only once per month. Amounts of food provided will depend on the numbers of adults and children in the household. See Service Conditions.

Persons requesting food must register with us. Please bring proof of name and address for each person in the household (including children).  Example:  lease, driver's licence, health cards, Ontario Works statement, electricity or heating bill.

​

If  you have your own grocery bags, please bring them. It you are travelling by bus, it will be easier if you have a wheeled cart.

 

The OC Transpo buses that go to HEFC are number 44 and 46.

The Ottawa Mission food truck is at our location on Fridays, 11:30am - 12:30pm.

The Ottawa Mission Food truck travels to 35 locations with hot prepared meals. The truck is usually at the HEFC location on Fridays from 11:30am - 12:30pm.
